Synopsis:

This course will focus on the principles, characteristics and benefits of using NPV. It will also be a good guidance on valuation of assets and liabilities under FRS 116.

NPV is a good financial tool to evaluate and make an investment decision. The course aims to give guidance on the cash flows of an investment or project and evaluate its financial viability, and to compare the value of money at different times and appreciate its purpose.

Koh Siew Min

Ms. Koh Siew Min is the Managing Director of SBF Training & Consultancy (International) Pte Ltd which she founded in 1997.She leads a team of consultants and trainers in providing financial consultancy and training to Fortune 500 companies, Multinational Companies, and management institutes in the Asia-Pacific region. She is very much an entrepreneur herself and started a few companies.In addition to possessing a degree in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore, Siew Min is also a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA, USA).  As the adjunct Assistant Associate Professor with the University of Singapore (“NUS”), she taught the module on Financial Statement Analysis in the NUS MBA Program and the Undergraduate Program since 2008. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies like Intel, Citigroup, ABB, Rolls Royce, Toyota Motor Corporation, Mitsui & Co. Ltd, and large companies like United Overseas Bank. Her passion is to share financial literacy with non-financial background, especially entrepreneurs. Ms. Koh is bilingual in English and Chinese, and she conducts programs in Mandarin too. Her forte is in making complex financial knowledge simpler by using practical industry experience in management and finance gleaned from years of research, teaching, and business management in the sector.
